How we helped Huawei put together a premium, newsworthy launch event in just 2 weeks.

A few weeks before Christmas, our long-term client Huawei came to us to launch their new noise-cancelling wireless headphones. They wanted something big, premium and newsworthy and we had less than two weeks to do it.

The Big Problem

Launch events, especially for tech, can often become monotonous and sales focused. Huawei wanted to create an experience that was fun, newsworthy, unusual but memorable. 

As the timing was before Christmas, this was also a way to say thank you to its advocates, influencers, clients, media and fans who supported the brand throughout the year.

The Solution

We designed a social competition on Huawei’s social channels where over 3,000 people competed for a golden ticket to the event, an intimate gig with Gavin James.

We rebranded one of Dublin’s most iconic music venues to create a unique atmosphere, demonstrate the product range and reinforce the brand and brought to life the key features in an accessible way for a non-tech audience owning the “wireless earbuds” conversation before competitors.

Key clients and influencers were also rewarded with a photo opportunity and meet and greet session afterwards.
