IDA Ireland

Enhancing Stakeholder Engagement Through Elegant Information Architecture with Intuitive Search Capabilities

IDA Ireland is the Irish Government agency with responsibility for attracting Foreign Direct Investment into Ireland from manufacturing and internationally traded services sectors. It also encourages existing investors to expand and develop their businesses.

They sought a partner to aid them in their digital journey including the design and maintenance of a new digital platform and support for their long-term digital marketing needs.

The Goal

To create an elegant new information architecture built on the back of analytics, stakeholder interviews and strategic insights with intuitive search capabilities.

The Solution

End-to-end support, including design, development, maintenance, and hosting of their websites. Their original site had been built on ROXEN and this was no longer supporting IDA’s needs to their satisfaction.

  • The updated site was launched in September 2017, redesigned and relaunched in 2023
  • Migration included 11 different language sites and 9 separate sub-sites
  • All managed and maintained through a single instance of Kentico EMS.
  • Hosted in Microsoft Azure
    Ongoing partnership: 6 years +

Tailored Experiences

IDA Ireland now has a fully optimised mobile-friendly site with unique, clear and indexable CTA’s ensuring that users can navigate the site effortlessly without any mental strain.

The site now contains a logical content flow featuring clear paths to conversion with user experience in mind. However, for specific content discovery, Granite also included a simple and effective search function for straightforward discovery.

The process includes constant reviewing and auditing of performance to ensure the site is always fit for purpose and is now baked in by design ensuring the site remains relevant.

Business Impact

“We appreciate all the hard work in the past couple of months! Loving the website, great to see it live. Thanks to the team at Granite.”
