We know your digital business operations will be reliant on Granite providing you with reliable and uninterrupted service and with this in mind we would like to share with you the measures we are taking to ensure we are 100% operational.

Decisive action

Friday 13th March Granite made the decision to mobilise our team to work from home. We have robust plans in place to ensure that we can continue to serve our customers and we welcome the measures announced by the Government in an effort to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Granite is well placed to be fully operational during this crisis, our multiple office locations in Ireland and other EU countries mean that everyday we work with colleagues in dispersed locations without a thought. This is now second nature to us and we have also shared some of the tools we use in the hope it may help you get your business operational faster if you are impacted by moving from your normal location to home.

Given the current outbreak of COVID-19 and the impact the virus is having on our customers, employees and families, we would like to share our Business Continuity plans with you. Despite the uncertainty of COVID-19, we expect to continue to deliver the same level of service excellence to our customers and have the following measures in place to ensure your success:

Availability of our Amazing Team

Granite is a company with customers in over 15 countries and a team of over 60 across 5 countries so our team is already accustomed to collaborating across diverse locations and is able to easily connect with each other and our customers in a secure and productive environment.

We will be available to work with you and deliver on your projects, regardless of our physical work locations.

Availability of our Technical Solutions

Our Solutions are secure, robust and resilient, sitting exclusively in the Cloud with two factor authentication in place for secure access. We have 99.99% reliability and our solutions have automatic backup and redundancy functions in place as standard. We also have a world class support team who are available for, in and out of hours, support as you need us.

We understand everyone will be concerned for the health of their teams and their business. We are here to help in any way we can. Working remotely will become difficult and we are happy to take calls late into the evening for you, with kids or pets as optional :)

Some key things we are doing

  • We have enabled remote working for our entire team and have ensured everyone can work from home productively and securely for a longer period of time.
  • We are providing daily updates to our team via email and slack.
  • Management is meeting online twice a day trying to ensure we keep business running as usual where possible for customers and staff. We have a Covid-19 ops team that meets also every morning remotely via video conference.
  • We have suspended non-essential business travel for our employees and prohibited business travel to any affected areas.
  • Leadership teams are working closely together ensuring we have a common map and understanding of the situation and priorities.
  • All decisions and actions are being logged.
  • All scheduled meetings (Internal and external) are being facilitated through video conferencing.
  • We are collaborating using shared documents while on the phone or online call, as a replacement for sitting next to each other.
  • Slack is used as normal, but with an emphasis on keeping everyone informed about what is going on regarding our now virtual workplace.
  • We are making ourselves available to our customers out of hours as we know this will be far from standard business as usual.
