IT Engineer (role filled)
Full time job based in the West Cork area providing technical assistance for a broad range of clients in West Cork. To support and maintain the clients IT systems including hardware, network infrastructure, and associated software and business applications, in order that all officers and members can maximise their use of IT.

Education Experience equivalent to completion of two years of college-level coursework in computer science, information technology or a related field and some general computer installation, maintenance and repair experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed below. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be representing the company on client sites.
- Installing, configuring and upgrading computer systems;
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;
- Talking clients through a series of actions – either face-to-face or over the telephone;
- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults;
- Finding solutions to problems;
- Providing support documentation, including procedural documentation;
- Running network applications to support system and users;
- Supporting new applications;
- Setting up new users;
- Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs;
- Prioritising and managing several open cases at one time;
- Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with users
- Testing/evaluating new technology;
- Contribute to the proper installation, maintenance and disposal of desktop computers and printers;
- Update the register of IT assets and contribute to audits of IT licensing arrangements;
- Document solutions to problems regarding standard IT applications and record them in the IT Knowledge Base;
- Manage VOIP telephone system;
- Using initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines and procedures;
- Organizing own work, setting priorities and meeting critical time deadlines;
